PITCHING FOR SUPPORT
Crazy Ideas College
Crazy Ideas College (CIC) do what they do because they want young people equipped, connected and unleashed.
If we are to meet the challenges of our times, we need to harness the wisdom, creativity and resourcefulness that exists across society. Young people are an asset to be tapped into. They will play a vital role in keeping our communities, economies and environments vibrant and prosperous.
The CIC programs incorporate the best bits of human centred design and futures thinking so that young people learn methods, tools and mindsets that set them up to succeed and contribute in work and life. They want business and community connected to an army of young people who are big hearted, creative and passionate about the possible – super charged problem solvers with a doers orientation.

Nairm Marr Djambana
Nairm Marr Djambana provides a safe, welcoming space where Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families in the Frankston area can access cultural strengthening, health and wellbeing, and education and training programs.
The Nairm Marr Djambana Board is working to enhance self-determination to ensure the local First Nations community can meet their social, cultural and economic needs. It has developed an early stage social enterprise catering business to enhance organisational sustainability. Based on a sound Theory of Change, Djambana Catering aims to support the Gathering Place to achieve improved social, economic and cultural outcomes for community members. The intention is for the catering service to generate sufficient funds to create a sustainable business arm to cover costs and help fund education, health and wellbeing programs in response to the needs of First Nations community members.
The social enterprise will also provide entry-level employment, hospitality skills development and accredited training opportunities for disadvantaged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander youth and adults. Furthermore, it will provide local organisations, community groups and corporations with access to a high quality, reliable catering service at a reasonable cost.

Talent Beyond Boundaries
Talent Beyond Boundaries (TBB) is pioneering a new solution to the global refugee crisis - one that is helping to fill skills gaps and drive economic growth whilst also delivering a profound humanitarian benefit.
TBB facilitate international recruitment opportunities for displaced talent and work with governments to open new visa pathways that are accessible to refugees. Their model produces a ‘win-win-win’: economies benefit, global employers gain access to a previously untapped talent pool, and skilled refugees and their families find safety, security, and the agency to rebuild their lives in communities where their talents are needed.
To date, TBB has negotiated programs for displaced talent with the Governments of Australia, Canada and the United Kingdom. Over 900 refugees have benefited, including primary applicants and their immediate family members. Their goal is to demonstrate that this can be a viable solution at scale for skilled refugees, to transition each of our pilot programs to become a permanent option for displaced people, and to continuously open up new pathways in additional destination countries. In Australia, they have helped 85 candidates secure job offers through the Skilled Refugee Labour Agreement Pilot Program and are working to reach a target of 100 candidates in the next few months.
